FAQ
How do you charge?
We charge an hourly rate. In most cases, there is a 3 hour minimum.
Do you provide a truck?
No. Our customers reserve a truck thru a local U-Haul Dealer. We can help with that process.
Can someone drive, pick up and return the truck for me?
Yes. We do all of the above!
Do you require a deposit?
No. We settle when we finish the job.
How long will it take to load/unload my truck, trailer, POD?
We beat the U-Haul national averages 100% of the time. Adding crew members will reduce load/unload times.
Do you insure against damages?
No. If you need your items insured, we suggest you contact a national company. Their higher prices generally allow for some damage reimbursement. You may need to provide original receipts for your items and pay additional upfront fees.
Do you provide packing services?
No, we believe it would ease your mind knowing that all of your most precious items were secured and safeguarded by you, the owner.
Do you guarantee your appointment times?
Yes with a one-hour window due to traffic conditions. Example, a 9 o’clock appointment time would have us arriving between 9 and 10 o’clock.
Do the movers supply dolleys?
Yes, we bring moving equipment, tape, shrink wrap, dozen blankets.
Will you move my gun safe?
Yes, we have specialized equipment for moving pianos, gun, or personal safes. Extra fees apply.
What about my flat screen TV?
Flat screens should be boxed and ready for loading. We recommend U-Haul Flat Screen Moving Kits
Do I (the customer) provide the moving blankets?
Yes, the more the better to protect against damages. Blankets can be rentend from U-haul.
Do you disassemble/assemble beds, furniture?
Yes, but please inform us in advance so we can have our tools on site.
Can you disconnect my washer/dryer?
Yes. We are not plumbers but in most cases, we can connect/disconnect your washer/dryer.
What items will you not box or load on the truck?
We will not pack or load hazardous materials, including paint, household chemicals, medications, food, important papers, cash, guns, gas, propane.
Moving Tips |
Declutter before you pack. Moving is a great opportunity to go through your belongings and get rid of anything you no longer need. This will not only help you pack more efficiently, but it will also make unpacking easier in your new home.
Pack an essentials box. Before you start packing, set aside a box with all the essentials you'll need during your move and in your new home. This should include toiletries, a change of clothes, important documents, and any other items you'll need immediately upon arrival.
Label your boxes. Be sure to label all boxes with the contents and the room they belong in. This will make it easier and faster for your movers to unpack in your new home.
Secure fragile items. Use bubble wrap, packing paper, or other cushioning materials to protect fragile items during the move. Pack them in separate boxes marked "fragile" to ensure they are handled with care.
Notify important parties. Be sure to notify important parties of your move, including your utility companies, bank, and employer. This will ensure that your bills and important mail are forwarded to your new address.
